Monterey Bay Aquarium September 8th, 2007 By Eric [Zonga] Page 2 [Click on photos to enlarge]
Folks, you are looking at the only Great White shark currently in captivity. This young male will probably be kept here for studies for another couple of months before being released back to the wild. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is the only aquarium that has successfully kept a white shark.
Even more jellyfish can be found throughout the aquarium.
They had two separate exhibits for jelly fish, which added up to about 25 different tanks.
New for 2007 is their otter exhibit.
Monterey was the first aquarium to have a living kelp forest. And thiis is without a doubt the signature shot from the aquarium.
The aquarium is set in an old cannery right on Monterey Bay.
A final look from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, thanks for stopping by for this TPV Special Edition update! < Previous Page |
