Six Flags Discovery Kingdom November 23rd, 2007 By Eric [Zonga] [Click on photos to enlarge]
Welcome to the Highway 80 to 37 connector where traffic was stopped dead in its tracks. Hopefully Six Flags figured it out that they shouldn't open the parking lot 15 minutes before the park opens leaving the freeway jammed.
30 minutes later I was in the park and ready for Opening Night of Holiday in the Park!
The World's Tallest Christmas Tree stands ready for the nightly lighting ceremony.
While at Holiday in the Park, guests can visit Santa's Workshop where they can have their photo taken with Santa.
Garland and other holiday decorations are all throughout the park.
A Toy Box Christmas stage show was one of the many holiday shows for the event. What's that in the background?
Medusa is receiving a much needed coat of paint.
Medusa is sure to be restored to its original glory.
Giant toys were located all around the area.
Back by White Water Safari and Voodoo, the park has placed a Salute to Our Troops area.
Discover Christmas was another show located just outside the Jungle Theatre.
Three marine shows were also being held, including Dream with Shouka.
One final look from Discovery Kingdom where the Christmas tree can be seen from all over. Preview Night Photos Here is a short video showing off the Main Street Festival of Lights, just a small taste of Holiday in the Park! Watch the Video! |
